The Capitol Heights Civic Association held an Executive Committee (‘CEC”) Meeting on February 9, 2000, at the home of President, Ken Reynolds. The meeting was called to order by President Ken Reynolds at 6:40 p.m. There were enough members for a quorum.

New Business:
Trina Binkley spoke on the National Register of Historic Neighborhoods and starting the process of getting Capitol Heights on the National Register.
Under New Business, the EC met again to continue the discussion of the proposed new AHEPA building.
Steven Speaks showed us new drawings for the AHEPA building on Madison Terrace and Washington Street and the parking lot on S. Capitol Parkway and Washington St.
They decreased the number of parking spaces to .6 x the number of units.
Cindy Thornhill made a motion to save the trees and Jason Foshee seconded it. The motion passed.
Scott Simmons made a motion to accept the proposal as presented by Steven Speaks. Cindy Thornhill seconded it. The motion passed.
The meeting adjourned at 7:30 p.m.
